- We have decided not to continue as Forstella Ford for the simple reason that it just didn't feel right anymore.
- We are not playing any (more) last shows.
- We're not sure if we're going to finish recording the song we were working on. I haven't written lyrics to it. We'll see.
- Dan, Ryan and myself have a new band with Kris Russell on bass. It's balls-all-over-the-place rock. We have two songs. We need a name.
- I'm starting something new with Nick and hopefully Demars very soon. We've got big plans for that as well.
- Whitney and Dan are still playing with Bob, Zach & Joel from Ten Grand in Tornavalanche. They're playing their first shows in mid-May.

We're still in the process of recording our new song. We've got everything except my final guitar tracks and the vocals done. I'm going in tomorrow (hopefully) to do the guitar, but I'm not sure about the vocals. I am sick as of last night, and I don't have the lyrics completed, anyway. I'm excited about the song, though. Shane's got such a kickass recording setup at his house. I think this demo song that isn't even really mixed or finished sounds better than a lot of the stuff we've recorded over the last few years.

Whitney's last show was a lot of fun, despite numerous technical difficulties. Whitney broke his bass drum head, and had to have our friend Dave sit in front of the one he borrowed in order to keep it in place. Nick didn't have a conventional mic stand, but a human one was more fun anyway. Thanks to everyone who came out on a Monday night to rock out with us.
We're recording a new song some time this coming week. We should be ready to play shows by late March. We've got a couple of them lined up, but I don't know the exact dates right now. Sooooon. We still don't have a van, and our trailer is still stolen, so if you're going to ask us to play shows that are out of town, we're probably not going to be able to do it for a while still. It sucks, because all we really want to do is be able to go out on tour. Oh well. That's life.

A decision was made yesterday for Forstella Ford and drummer Whitney Teska to part ways. It was his decision, based on a fading interest in writing (more so than playing) the style of music we play. We respect the decision backwards and forwards and hold no hard feelings whatsoever. He lives with us still, so now he's just going to have to hear our annoyingly loud practices from upstairs.
We're teaming up with Ryan Smith (formerly of Coma Eternal), which is something we're all excited about. The plan remains to write an EP and record it for Level Plane. We're going to begin practicing with Ryan this week, which is when we'll figure out what's going on with any of the upcoming shows we had.

So, some complete piece of shit decided that they wanted our trailer badly enough to cut the lock off of it and drive away with it. If you see someone with a black trailer that's got a replaced fender and is missing some lights, please drive up right next to the person with said trailer in tow and proceed to bludgeon them until they're nearly dead, then give us a call so we can have a word or two with them.
Anyway, we'll post some photos of the trailer (if we have any) and a better description, and if people could keep their eye out for it around Milwaukee somewhere, that'd be swell.

I hope everyone had a good holiday. We're getting ready to get back into songwriting mode soon. We're hoping to have a bunch of songs written in the next few months, at which point we will demo them and decide what our course of action will be as far as releasing something goes. We're hoping to have at least one new song ready by the time we play our next show, but we can't make any promises.
I'm excited to play out of the state in February, but we're still vanless; I hope we figure out some way to get our gear to Iowa. We came up with a pretty strange way of getting to the last show we played. Since it was only a few blocks from our house, we decided to load up the trailer and push it to the show on foot. Aside from the cold factor, it worked out really well. Maybe we'll just book shows that are within pushing distance of our house from now on.

Aside from the shows we have coming up, I believe we are going to be taking things slowly as far as shows go so we can concentrate on writing a bunch of new songs. We've got a few in the works already. I can't seem to access the database that holds our show information right now, but for updated show information, you can always visit our Myspace page.

We wrote a large portion of a new song last night, and I'm excited as hell about it. I'm not excited about the fact that my 8 track somehow managed to erase what we recorded yesterday. Oh well. We're practicing again in a few hours, so I'll just make sure to get it this time.
