Well, our first attempts at playing shows since January went off fairly well. What's more amazing is that we actually played a decent show at the Fireside Bowl. It wasn't the most amazing show we've ever played, but the past shows we've played there would definitely be high up on the "worst of" list, if we were to keep such a list. The Casket Lottery were amazing both nights, and I'm currently listening to their new record Survival is for Cowards, which is an incredible record worthy of your attention.

Someone last night decided it would be a good idea to come up by our merch and wait until Jessica was selling something to someone else, and then walk off with a shirt. We might have tried to find this person, if they weren't wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue pants. About 50 people at the show fit that description. Oh well. If it shows up on Skylab or something, we'll know who it was and maybe we'll have Big Fat Nicky Sheppard go to his house and thump his skull a bit. Anyone who bought a hoodie this weekend might want to consider it an investment, since we made 3 with that design ever and will never make any more. When we placed the order for shirts, it was 90ยบ in Milwaukee, so we figured no one would want hoodies. Our mistake...

The new video that we made (titled Limiting The Experience with a running time of 59 minutes) seemed to spark a lot of peoples' interest. If anyone wants a copy, it's out on Said In Jest. It's available for $7.50 ppd (payable to Jessica Morris) that you can either paypal to order@saidinjest.com or send to:

Beautiful night last night, boys, beautiful night. Mark with his sober drunkeness, Jimmy Sardines with his full head of hair, Whitney revealing so many dirty little secrets.

The quesedilla was delicious, but bed was even more so.

The stuff that dreams are made of. No fakin'.

Oh, if anyone is interested in what ole Tex has been up to (yeah, right?), get your ass movin'.

They don't make road cases large enough for my melon! I meant my amp head! :)

The Vida Blue (errr... Ten Grand) and Kill Devil Hills rocked our asses last night in Appleton. I don't know why, but it was the best sounding basement I think I've ever seen a show in. In which I've ever seen a show, rather. Never end a sentence with a preposition!

Never end a proposition with a preposition, either: "shall I stick it in?"

We're practicing today -- finally! It'll be the first time playing together since January 19th or 20th... I don't remember the exact date. We'll see how it goes. I might even put up a short video clip of it, just for shits and giggles.

Mark is such a rock star that he has a road case for his head!!

Does anyone out there know of any other famous bods who protect their bodily parts so well? Best answer wins nothing....
Go this show tonight, if you're in the Appleton, WI area:

Ten Grand (formerly the Vida Blue from Iowa City, IA), Kill Devil Hills (Murfreesboro, TN), and one local band whose name eludes me. It's a house show at 833 W. Franklin Street, and if you don't know where that is, try mapquest. It's gonna start around 7 and I'm not sure how much it'll cost, but probably $3 or something small like that.

Well, I'm back in Wisconsin. It was exciting to see the new cabinet and road case for my head that I got while I was in Texas and had never seen. I also got to see the vinyl version of Quietus, which came out incredible, as Nick stated previously in this blog. Yesterday was a pretty uneventful day, since Jessica and I had spent 14 hours driving up here and decided to go one day without sleep.

Today, we're loading our equipment into the new practice space we're sharing with Since By Man (thanks guys!)

Our site and e-mail are both messed up right now. Apparently, our domain name expired and no one bothered to tel us and through some glitch, our site and e-mail still worked. Anyway, I renewed it today and it should be back up. If you sent e-mail to us and it got sent back, please send it again tomorrow some time, or keep trying until it works. Unless it wasn't important; in that case, send it here.

We're going to releasing a documentary in VHS form entitled Limiting The Experience of the 5-month-long tour we did last year. It features some of the footage available on the site now, but mostly new stuff, as well as live performances by us and some of our friends. It's broken up into two separate documentaries - one of the US portion and one of the European portion. They were such different experiences that we couldn't see dumping all of the footage together. Anyway, the video is about an hour long and the quality is pretty decent (it was all shot in digital video and edited digitally in iMovie and Final Cut Pro.) We're going to be selling them on tour, and they'll be available also from Said In Jest on May 21st.

Someone is bidding $10 plus shipping on Skylab for a copy of our split 7" with The Assistant, despite my efforts to inform them that it's not out of print, and it's even still available on white vinyl. It was out of print for about a month, but Andrew pressed a whole bunch more. I don't understand people sometimes...

Haha. I forgot that I changed our password. That's why Cody's post isn't going to show up until right.... NOW.
I still haven't seen that movie, Cody. I will have to see it when it is available on DVD. As for Memento, I have no idea if it's the sequel to Keepsake. I've never heard that it was, and it doesn't seem like a sequel, but who knows.

I was without steady internet access for the better part of a week, and it was really annoying. It's all fixed now, though.

I saw Fugazi the other day and they made me really anxious to start rocking again. I don't think I've ever seen them put on a more enegetic show! It was simply amazing. I got the Instrument DVD and the extra footage that isn't on the VHS is pretty cool.

We'll be back alive and kicking in about two weeks. Hopefully Shoot Each Other will be officially born, too...

Though, I understand we might be changing the name?

Happy birthday to Jessica! We're now in Cody's advanced age bracket.
