Errr... Hello to all. I'm Martin (UK variant) and I have been invited to contribute to this blog by Mr. Sheppard. I'm not really sure what to write, but hey, I'm sure I'll come up with something.
I guess I'll be kinda reporting on the European things that might appeal to FoFo and their Fofollowers. Basically, if it looks interesting then it's gonna come to your attention.
Some things to recommend: The Royal Tenenbaums (film), Fire Season (band), the first warm, sunny days of this year (weather).

The internet hasn't been working for me today, but now it seems to be back on, if only for a short while. The cable company is coming tomorrow to check it out, so hopefully it won't mess up every day or so.

The Quietus LPs finally came today and I must say that they look absolutely amazing. Good effin' job Marty! Thanks a lot to Level Plane as well. I really think this is the best looking release we have done to date.

I made a new look for the blog. I think it looks nicer. Word. All sorts of people keep telling me that they have our record on LP, but we have yet to see them. It's sort of getting annoying at this point!

Quietus will be available in Europe from Nova (LP) in a few weeks and from Scene Police (CD) in May. We're very excited about this. The CD version will feature altered artwork. Actually, the LP version in Europe and here in the states features altered artwork, but only the writing on the insert is different. We had to finish the artwork before the recording as actually finished, so what's written inside of the CD isn't exactly true.

In case anyone was wondering, I sold my cabinet already and deleted the previous post. That means this post won't make much sense to people who weren't here a few days ago, but oh well.

Someone's got an auction on Skylab for a lot auction that includes our s/t (OAC) 7" and the split with Stillwell, which are both long out of print. I think lot auctions are just about the worst idea ever. I mean, if you're looking to make money selling records, you could get a lot more if you did them individually. You never know who might really want a certain 7", but not the 30 other ones you're selling. Anyway, here's the link if you want to check it out.

I messed around with a bunch of things tonight and now our site seems to be messed up. It's too late to work on it now; I am going to sleep. I have all weekend to fix it, so don't worry.

I seriously messed up the last post somehow, and I can't fix it. Oh well.

The broken tape deck situation has been sorted out.

We're adding another WI show for before tour, this time in Appleton. I'm pretty sure it's going to be May 4th, but we have to make sure Sunday Flood can play that day. Sesshu will also be playing.

I'm half-way sure these guys hate us now for some reason, but you should check out the new Examination Of The... song on mp3.com anyway, because it's really good.

Just wanted to pipe in and say thanks to whoever was searching for me (even though you misspelled my name). But, I think you would have had more exciting results if you had just searched for "olsen twins' boobs" like that other person did. Now that's quality Googleing.

Today, I was in the Forstella Ford van for the first time since October and, other than the broken tape deck, little has changed. Whitney and I even stopped at a convenience store so he could buy junk food!

Yeah, I'll go back to being quiet now.

I was just doing some searching through our site statistics, and after I was amazed by all of the different countries from which our site was accessed last month, I was ASTONISHED by the referring URLs from google.com. This is what people searched for before coming to our site. It should be noted that even if you searched for something and wrote in "www.forstellaford.com" before you came to the site, it would still show up as a referring URL, so some of these were just things that you people are looking for on the internet. Funny.

The tourdates are coming together very nicely. We'll be heading out from mid-May until early July, covering the entire US. We're going to be doing most of the US dates (May 17th - June 25th, specifically) with an AMAZING band from Denmark called LACK. Definitely do yourself a favor and head on over to their site to check out some mp3s, and pick up their record (Blues Moderne: Danois Explosifs).

Quietus is available on LP now (on green vinyl). So far, only Level Plane and Ebullition have copies, but it'll be in other distros soon enough.
